PRA Group Employees Participate in Girls on the Run Star Power 5K
NORFOLK, VA – PRA Group, Inc. (Nasdaq: PRAA), a global leader in acquiring and collecting nonperforming loans, was proud to partner with Girls on the Run (GOTR) of Hampton Roads to present the Star Power 5K this weekend. In addition to the sponsorship, PRA Group employees and their children enjoyed participating in the three-mile race benefiting GOTR programming throughout Hampton Roads.
Committed to inspiring girls to be joyful, healthy and confident, GOTR serves more than 60 schools throughout Hampton Roads, teaching the principles of confidence, strength of character, caring for others and themselves, making connections and team building as well as physical, social and emotional competence.
“Research shows the social isolation the pandemic continues to enforce is having a disproportionate impact on girls and young women, so they need the support of organizations like Girls on the Run now more than ever before,” said Elizabeth Kersey, PRA Group’s senior vice president of communications and public policy, who participated in the Star Power 5K with her daughter. “It is amazing to witness GOTR bring girls out of their comfort zones into real growth and positive development by showing them what they are empowered achieve both on and off the racetrack.”
