PRA Group’s Danville Regional Office Earns Local Exceptional Community Spirit Award
DANVILLE, VA – PRA Group’s Danville Regional Office has been recognized for its Exceptional Community Spirit in the annual Spirit Awards edition of Evince Magazine. The Danville Regional office earned the award through community nominations, as well as those of previous Spirit Award winners. Other Spirit Award categories included Exceptional Customer Service, Community Involvement and Products.
The award is a worthy reflection of the Danville Regional Office’s giving initiatives over the past year. In 2020 alone, the office donated nearly $21,000 to local nonprofits, including the Danville-Pittsylvania Cancer Association, the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Danville Area, The Salvation Army Potomac Division, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Danville Area and United Way of Danville and Pittsylvania County.
Through the generosity if its dedicated employees, the Danville Regional Office also provided 350 gifts to 13 children through The Salvation Army’s Angel Tree program. The program partners with supporters to supply children and special needs individuals with Christmas gifts that their families may not otherwise be able to give.
“We are so grateful for this wonderful honor and could not be prouder to be a part of the Danville community,” said Andre Gorum, vice president of operations at PRA Group. “We want to thank our dedicated employees, as well as every individual who has partnered with us and reinforced PRA Group’s mission to pay it forward by giving back.”
The Danville Regional Office’s exceptional response to the needs of its community is rooted in the core values of PRA Group, which is committed to having a positive impact and active role wherever its employees live and work. Since 2009, PRA Group has contributed more than $7.8 million to charitable causes dedicated to strengthening the vitality of communities.
