PRA Group Chief Information Officer Participates in Richmond Technology Council Panel
On July 14th, 2020, PRA Group Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer, Deb Cassidy, served as a panelist for the “Tech-it-Yourself” webinar series hosted by Richmond Technology Council (RVATech).
The Richmond Technology Council (RVATech) is a member-driven association with a mission to promote the success and growth of the technology sector within the Central Virginia economy.
“I love transformation, I love change. So just getting in there and rolling my sleeves up and finding out what is going on and helping add value is how I usually like to start,” said Deb Cassidy, Senior Vice President and CIO.
In this episode, some of Virginia’s leading technology executives came together to share their career journeys, the valuable lessons they have learned, and how the role of the CIO and CTO is evolving.
“I think in order to be a CTO or CIO, we have to be inquisitive. Someone has to ask the questions, and someone has to challenge,” said Cassidy. “Always be willing to look for opportunities where they may exist. There are things I have taken with me with each of those [opportunities] and applied it to the other.”
Cassidy has served as PRA Group’s Chief Information Officer since April 2015 and oversees all enterprise corporate systems for PRA Group globally. She has more than 20 years of IT leadership experience across several industries, with the past 10 years in the financial services industry.
